Three Colors: Blue
BOOK COVER, TYPOGRAPHY, PHOTOGRAPHY
OVERVIEW
This book cover redesign interprets Krzysztof Kieslowski’s Three Colors: Blue through original photography and minimalist typography. Drawing from the film’s emotional themes of grief, solitude, and reconnection, the design features a submerged music sheet suspended in a deep blue pool of water. I photographed and edited the image to evoke a sense of stillness and emotional depth, mirroring the film's visual style. The clean, serif typography and layout emphasize restraint, silence, and space—core visual motifs of the story. This project blends cinematic inspiration with subtle visual storytelling to reimagine a classic film through contemporary book design.
